About High Triglycerides

High triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia) refers to raised levels of blood triglycerides and if the levels of this fat in the blood becomes too high, it can lead to heart disease, acute pancreatitis, along with other serious conditions.

High triglycerides may contribute to hardening of the arteries or thickening of the artery walls, this is called arteriosclerosis.

Oftentimes, high triglycerides can be a sign of other conditions like:
